Elemental Herbology launches new Harmonising Cleanse: New cleansing oil leaves skin fresh and balanced
Indulge in a full body treatment that takes you to the four corners of the world. Words: Katie Reich-Storer
It had been a long time coming. Nine months of gruelling pregnancy and nine months of looking after a new baby plus an active four year old meant I was long overdue for a bit of TLC.
But it was definitely worth the wait as I curled up in the relaxation room of the Kallima Club & Spa at Hilton London Syon Park and waited for my therapist to collect me. Within minutes I was snuggled up on one of the oversized chairs with a duvet on top of me and magazine in hand – bliss. So I was well on the way to being suitably chilled out when my therapist came to find me and take me off for my treatment.
Kicking off with a cleansing foot washing ritual, the Passage of Traditions signature treatment from the spa’s new menu was off to a good start. Next up was a full body exfoliation to detox the skin and leave it primed for a massage.
Not usually a fan of being rubbed down with a gritty scrub, I was pleasantly surprised that the fine grains didn’t tear at my skin or leave me itchy. Instead I started to relax as the therapist worked her away from top to toe getting rid of months of dead skin and leaving my whole body feeling polished.
As the scrub wasn’t too mucky, there was no need for me to move from the bed to shower it off – always a bit of a mood killer — and we moved seamlessly onto the massage which used copious amounts of warm oil to dig deep into the knots in my back. 90 minutes later and I was feeling soothed, sleepy and ready for the world. £95 for 90 minutes.
